| First item. Designation, scope and location |

Article 1. Designation, nature and duration. |

With the name ‘Aragon Economic Foundation’ this is a non-profit-making organisation with a foundation structure, whose own heritage is affected in the long-term by the realisation of its own ends.
The Foundation will be governed by current statutes, by Law 50/2005, 26 December regarding foundations, by the development regulations of this law and by Act 276/1995, 19 December, of the Diputación General de Aragón (Aragon Government) which regulates competition among foundations and has created the Register of Foundations.
The foundation has been given no fixed end date. |
| Article 2. Legal capacity and identity. |

Once set up and listed on the Register of Foundations, the Foundation has its own legal identity and full ability to work, being able to carry out, as a consequence, all those acts which are necessary to achieve the ends for which it was created, subject to those laws established in the legal system. |
| Article 3º. Nationality and scope. - |

The Foundation is Spanish and its primary sphere of activity will be the Autonomous Community of Aragon. |

The headquarters of the Foundation will be in Zaragoza, Calle Costa, no.9, Principal, Dcha.
The sponsors will be able to move the headquarters through the appropriate statutory modification.

| Second item. Aims of the Foundation: |

The aims of the Foundation are:
To carry out studies of the Aragon economy and region, by itself or by commissioning others.
To organise and supervise scientifically profitable investigation teams to carry out studies of the economy and the land, commissioned through the Foundation.
To encourage informed debate on the alternatives facing the Aragon economy and the organisational policies of the region. In particular it will organise periodic meetings, seminars or one-day conferences on relevant themes.
To publish or circulate, by whichever means, the work carried out, the conclusions of the seminars as well as other works of interest for Aragon.
To train economic specialists in themes relevant to the economy and territorial policies of the Aragon region.
The sponsors will have free reign to determine the Foundation’s activities towards the same ends, defined in a broad sense. |

Diputación General de Aragón (Aragon Government)
Caja de Ahorros y Monte de Piedad de Zaragoza, Aragón and Rioja (also known as Ibercaja)
Caja de Ahorros de la Inmaculada (also known as CAI)
